Mike Mueller-Smith, Director Mike is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan and a Faculty Associate in the Population Studies Center. His research examines topics related to the economics of crime, discrimination, and public assistance programs. He is currently working on studying the household spillovers of the criminal justice system, court deferral programs, felony disenfranchisement and safety net bans resulting from felony drug convictions. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University. |

Keith Finlay, Co-Director Keith is a labor economist at the U.S. Census Bureau, where he uses administrative records to increase the quality of federal statistical products. He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Irvine. He previously held an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Tulane University. He has published research on the economics of the crime, family structure, and illegal drug use. |

Jordan Papp, Project Manager Jordan received his Ph.D. from the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. During his graduate studies, Jordan managed projects at the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute and worked as a statistical analyst at Michigan State University. |

Diana Sutton, Project Manager Diana spent over 20 years in a career with the Michigan Department of Corrections before joining CJARS, the latter part of which was spent as the records administrator for the agency. Diana has a BS in criminal justice from Wayne State University and a MS in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. |

Ashley Gross, Project Manager Ashley has a BA in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law from Florida Memorial University and a MS in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining CJARS, he worked in both customer service and project management oriented roles for the mortgage lending company Rocket Mortgage for seven years. |

Elizabeth Luh, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Elizabeth received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Houston. Her research examines topics related to labor and public economics with a focus on the economics of crime and discrimination. |
