Agency Partnerships
Are you a representative from a criminal justice agency or government organization that holds records on administrative criminal justice data? Are you interested in the prospect of sharing your data to complement a secure, wide-ranging collection of criminal justice, social, and economic information available to expert researchers? We are always pleased to hear from record holders interested in participating in CJARS. Your agency’s inclusion could contribute to the depth and effectiveness of the CJARS Database, increase the accuracy of associated research, and enrich our understanding of the US criminal justice system. Published research projects may even provide new and innovative insights into your own agency and community.
At CJARS, we recognize the importance of tailored data partnerships and are committed to finding the best fit for your agency’s needs. Our approach to collaboration may take a variety of avenues, including the development of customized data use agreements, obtaining permission to responsibly scrape or download data, responding to invitations from agencies to submit public record requests, or collaborating on a formal research application with your organization.
